Coming Around The Corner:

December 14, 2021

As we approach Christmas 2021, Steve and I are thankful we are both together. With a year of several severe medical problems including open heart surgery to replace a failing heart valve, this has definitly been a challenging year. Yet, in spite of it all, God has been good to us and blessed us in many ways. We have invited two people into our home to live with us as they were struggling in their present situations. We have found friendship and fellowship with these two and other new people who have come into our midst.

I am presently continuing to piece together my next Bible Study on the book of Nehemiah. I hope to finish it by the end of 2022. After that, Lord willing, I plan to work on a Christian school curriculum God has put on my heart to write. I plan to begin with lessons for prekindergarten age students and work my way up through 6th grade. Because of the evil we have had forced upon our young children in some school settings, I believe God has me writing these new teaching materials. I am presently piecing together a class called Animal Alphabet and Phonics for prekindergarten aged students. These children will learn the letters of the alphabet and the phonics. They will begin with learning the consonants and short vowel sounds. In the middle of the first year they will look at consonant blends, long vowel sounds, and using long vowels with the silent e.

In this class, the students will also learn about the names and some basic facts of animals. I believe adding the animal portion will help keep variety and interest in the class. I am having fun organizing the basic building blocks of this course and look forward to the time when I can focus more on it.

I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. I’m excited to see what God is going to do in the year 2022. It’s coming around the corner very soon.

Since the Covid-19 Pandemic began, God began nudging me to do another Bible study book, this time on Nehemiah. Nehemiah is an encouraging story for anyone who’s going through great struggles that last a long time. The story of Nehemiah urges us to ‘Remember our God who is mighty and powerful.”

One way our adversaries attack us is through a multitude of bad circumstances. The enemy’s goal is to get us to get our eyes off of God, to focus on the bad circumstances until we become depressed and hopeless, and to steal our faith in God. We must be aware of our enemy’s schemes and keep our eyes on our mighty and powerful God!

Nehemiah gives us good examples of how to battle our enemy. He prays, he deals with problems when they come up, he encourages the people around him, and he continues on with perseverance until his task is finished.

I encourage anyone struggling with tests, trials, and tribulation to read the Biblical book of Nehemiah. Examining the circumstances Nehemiah faced and the measures he took to overcome them can be a good exercise for any Christian believer.

God used the book of Nehemiah in my personal life when I needed the encouragement to continue on in the midst of great trials. In this book I will be sharing my testimony as well as the things I learned from Nehemiah.

Only a few days ago I finished “Hidden Treasures!” It is a collection of articles written by William Curtis Harvard a former elder from our church who has gone home to be with Jesus. We still miss our beloved Elder, Bible teacher and friend.

“Hidden Treasures” contains over 425 articles written by Curt. These articles contain a multitude of humorous stories and wisdom literature which can help us with the tough decisions we have to make in life. Whether it be riding the rails as a hobo, selling newspapers in Hollywood or taking a Wildcat bus ride across the U. S. Curt’s stories also paint us a visual of some historical events that we can only imagine. Yet, his down-to-earth messages inspire the readers to make better choices in life.

“Hidden Treasures!” is now available exclusively through the online bookstore at amazon.com To find it, go to the Home page of Amazon. In the upper left corner designate a department (books) and then enter my name or William Curtis Harvard in the search bar. Hit the enter key on your keyboard and the book should pop up. I have recently started to work on my blog https://christianeducationstation.com  I am adding testimonials from my Christian walk with God and stories from the years I taught Sunday School, Children’s Church, Vacation Bible Schools and worked as a volunteer at various camps. I share these testimonies to encourage Christian workers and give them tips that will hopefully help them as they serve others in the kingdom of God.

I am also shifting stories and testimonials about my personal life to a new blog https://testimoniestipstidbits.com for anyone who is interested in reading about the work God is doing in my life. God has done several miraculous works in my life and He has healed my broken heart and life. Since God has done this for me, I know He can do it for others. If you are broken and hurting, these stories will show you the mighty work God can do on behalf of His children.

I am also looking into doing 30 days of marketing exposure for my book “Behold Our Awesome God.” I have been given an opportunity to get this exposure at a reasonable cost and have decided to invest in this chance at getting more exposure for my book.

I’ve also finished “Hidden Treasures” and plan to upload it to create space soon. Health issues and moving household furnishings around to accommodate a new person in our home has taken a great amount of time. This project is getting closer to completion so I can have more time available to work on my writing projects.

Testimonies, Tips and Tidbits is a book project that I’m working on. I have decided to put the pages of this book project on my profile pages at https://www.faithwriters.com The testimonies, tips and tidbits come from my life as I walked with God and ministered to His people. I would like to share them freely with other believers in hope of admonishing, encouraging and providing stories with humor and wisdom for those who wish to read and learn from them. To access these stories go to the website https://www.faithwriters.com, scroll down the page to the search box for authors, and type in my name: Robin Ulbredtch. My profile page, with links to my articles, should appear. Just click on the link to the article you want to read. So enjoy! Hopefully you can glean something from these testimonials.

Today my husband and I worked on our upcoming book project called “Hidden Treasure: A Collection of Articles by William Curtis Harvard. This book is nearly completed.  We have a few end notes to finish and another permission to get before going to print. This has been a long project, but it will fulfill the dream of an 80-year-old Christian brother who passed away. He hired us to compile these books as a heritage.

I look forward to the completion of this big project and fulfilling the promise we made to this special Elder and brother in Christ. May God get the glory for what He has done!

My author’s event at East Bonner County Library had a turnout of about six people, including an Elder’s wife from our church. She encouraged me tremendously, as did the others who came. But God is the greatest encourager of all.

At the end of my presentation, while we were enjoying our snacks, a young man in his 20’s came in.  told him that the presentation was over but he was welcome to sit down and have some snacks and visit with us.

This young man seemed to be struggling because he wanted to leave his parents and adventure out on his own new life.  I was led to share the Bible story of the Prodigal Son with him. After hearing that story and giving out some advice, I shared the Gospel with the young man and he prayed the sinner’s prayer with my husband and I, and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

I invited this young man to church the following Sunday, and he came. Several people encouraged him to grow deeper in the Lord and to get involved with the young adults at our church. He came a few times but realized he wanted to go to Boulder Colorado to begin his new life.

My husband and I gave him a ride to the airport and encouraged him to get connected to a Bible-based Christian church. We emailed him a few times after that day, but seemed to lose contact with him. I pray that he is still having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

I was extremely excited about the way God encouraged me and reassured me about this writing ministry.  There is no more precious gift–aside from accepting Christ–than to be given the opportunity to lead someone to Christ. Praise God for His love and mercy toward us.

I am working with East Bonner County Library to do an author’s event in one of their meeting rooms on June 13th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. watch the newspaper and flyers that will soon appear in the library. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Snacks will be served and four e-books will be given away in a drawing.  I would love to see you there!

I’m also excited about the release of my new book Behold Our Awesome God. You can find the information about it on this website on the page with the same name.  I believe the message in this book can encourage others to give their lives, and their problems to God. He can heal broken hearts and lives, and work out difficult circumstances that are impossible for us. Behold Our Awesome God teaches about Him and shows examples of times when He has worked miracles for His people. It’s a great encouragement to anyone going through difficult times.

At this time I’m nearing the completion of a book that I was commissioned to do for a beloved Christian brother and writer named Curt Harvard. Curt went home to be with the Lord a little over a year ago. The book is a collection of over 400 articles he wrote, published in our local paper or church bulletins or handed out to friends. It has been a challenging project for me but my husband, Steve, and I are nearing its completion.

Also, I am nearing the completion of my first Bible Study Book called “Behold Our Awesome God!” It’s a personal, 13-week study on the attributes of God and how He interacts with people. You will be blessed to see just how awesome our God is, and how much He cares for ordinary people like you and me! If we could only grasp the vastness of His great love for us we would never doubt or worry about our lives! Behold Our Awesome God can also be used for group studies. I’m presently working on a Teacher-Leader’s Guide to help anyone who desires to teach it to others. I look forward to seeing what God will do with this study!
